Color Masterbatch

Color masterbatch is a new type of specialized coloring agent for polymer materials. The most common carrier resins for color masterbatch are PE, PP, PVC, ABS, PS, TPU/TPE, plus biodegradable resins like PLA and PBAT.

What are the common types of resins used in color masterbatch?

PE (Polyethylene)
The most widely used universal carrier. Low cost, good fluidity and broad compatibility. Applied to films, pipes, containers and general plastic products.

PP (Polypropylene)
Specialized for PP substrates. Ideal for non-woven fabrics, woven bags, injection parts, packaging boxes and automotive interior components.

PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
For rigid and flexible PVC products such as cables, profiles, artificial leather and hoses. Formulated with heat stabilizers to prevent thermal decomposition.

ABS
High heat resistance and good surface performance. Mainly for electronic housings, home appliances, toys and high-gloss injection parts.

PS (Polystyrene)
Matches PS and EPS foamed plastics. Used for disposable tableware, packaging boxes, stationery and foam buffers.

TPU / TPE / TPR
Elastomer carriers for soft products like grips, hoses, cable sheaths and soft-touch parts. Preserves elasticity and softness.

Biodegradable resins (PLA, PBAT)
Exclusive for eco-friendly products like disposable tableware, biodegradable bags and eco-packaging, retaining compostable properties.
