2. Core Composition
(1) Carrier (the biggest difference vs plastic masterbatch)
- Solvent coating masterbatch: EVA wax, alkyd resin, acrylic resin, polyester wax, low-molecular PE wax (soluble in xylene, butyl ester, cyclohexanone)
- Water-based coating masterbatch: Water-dispersible acrylic wax, modified polyether carrier (no organic solvent precipitation, stable in aqueous system)
- Powder coating masterbatch: Solid epoxy, polyester resin carrier, no volatile solvent
(2) Colorants

5. Usage Guidelines
- Match masterbatch carrier with coating system: Do not mix solvent-type masterbatch into pure water-based paint, and vice versa.
- Standard addition ratio: 1%–6%; adjust dosage according to required hiding power and color depth.
- Pre-mix masterbatch with coating base material under medium-speed stirring for 5–10 min to achieve full dissolution.
- For outdoor coatings, select weather-resistant pigment grades with built-in UV stabilizer.
- Avoid over-dosage, which may reduce coating hardness, gloss and water resistance.
