Clarifying Masterbatch

Clarifying masterbatch is pellet functional masterbatch composed of carrier resin, clarifier, dispersants and other auxiliaries. It changes the crystal structure of plastics during molding, reduces crystal size, and significantly boosts transparency, gloss and visual clarity.
2. Working Principle
Semi-crystalline plastics (especially PP) form large opaque crystals after cooling. The clarifier acts as crystal nucleating agent, generates numerous tiny fine crystals. Small crystals hardly scatter light, so the plastic becomes transparent.
3. Main Components
- Carrier resin: Mostly PP (matched with base material)
- Core ingredient: Organic clarifier / nucleating agent
- Auxiliaries: Dispersant, lubricant, anti-oxidant

- Control proper addition dosage (usually 1%–3%), excessive use may cause side effects.
- Match processing temperature to guarantee clarifying effect.
