2. Main Working Mechanisms

1. UV Absorber (UVA)

Absorbs harmful ultraviolet light and converts it into harmless low-heat energy, prevents UV from attacking polymer chains.

1. Hindered Amine Light Stabilizer (HALS)

Captures free radicals generated by photooxidation, cuts off aging chain reactions; works for long-term outdoor anti-aging.

1. Composite Antioxidant

Cooperates with light stabilizers to suppress thermal-oxidative aging, avoid yellowing during high-temperature processing.

3. Main Components

1. Carrier resin: PE, PP, ABS, PLA, EVA, selected to match the base plastic material
2. Active UV protection agents: HALS, benzophenone / benzotriazole UV absorbers
3. Auxiliaries: Dispersants, lubricants, anti-yellowing additives

5. Classifications & Typical Applications

1. PE / PP polyolefin UV masterbatch

• Applications: Agricultural greenhouse films, mulch films, outdoor plastic pipes, garden supplies, woven bags, outdoor turnover boxes, automotive exterior parts
• Feature: High weather resistance, suitable for long-term open-air use

2. ABS / PS engineering plastic UV masterbatch

• Applications: Outdoor electronic casings, outdoor furniture, cosmetic transparent packaging, outdoor toy shells
• Feature: Low yellowing, maintains surface gloss of hard plastic parts

3. Biodegradable PLA / PBAT UV masterbatch

• Applications: Outdoor degradable shopping bags, degradable agricultural mulch film
• Feature: Special formula matching biodegradable resin without damaging compostability

4. Low-haze transparent UV masterbatch

• Applications: Transparent outdoor sheets, clear packaging films
• Feature: Does not increase haze, keeps high transparency

6. Recommended Addition Dosage

• Short-term outdoor use (1–2 years): 1% ~ 2%
• Long-term outdoor use (3–5+ years): 2% ~ 4%
• Thin agricultural films: Higher dosage required than thick injection products
